Government

Trustee meetings are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the town hall.

All township meetings are open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

Call 440-636-5486 for more information. The next meeting is Sept. 4.

Roads

Roads did not receive dust control this year, but will be graded and graveled preparing for next year’s dust control application. Holes do and will continue to develop and maintenance crews will continue to patch and fill as best they can.

The limited road budget is an ongoing concern and does not allow all roads to receive complete dust control coverage each year. Only a few areas will be retreated each year as funding allows.

Zoning

Zoning Inspector Frank S Corrao III wishes to remind all residents to obtain a zoning permit prior to making any construction changes of any kind. The zoning office may be reached by calling 440-636-5486 ext. 3 and leaving a message.

Recycle

New camera and light have been installed at the entrance of the Huntsburg Recreation Park to observe violators dumping unrecyclable items.  With the new camera system, the township will be able to obtain license plates and driver’s faces, which will allow officials to proceed with prosecutions. So, beware; township officials are watching. Only items listed on the containers are permitted in the bins. Not everything is recyclable. No trash is allowed.

Cardboard is accepted. Shredded paper is accepted in clear plastic bags. Please put a small hole in the bag to allow air to escape, but not the paper.

Thank you for recycling. Please keep the recycling center clean.
