Veterans Recognition Lunch
Nov. 8, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The fourth annual veterans recognition lunch and pinning ceremony will be held in the banquet hall of St. Mary Church, 401 North St. in Chardon.
The program begins with veteran recognition and a speaker from 11 a.m. to noon. Lunch will be served along with live entertainment by Joel Scigliano from 12-12:45 p.m. followed by a pinning ceremony with the Chardon V.F.W. Color Guard from 1-1:30 p.m.
The luncheon is free for all Geauga Department on Aging registered senior veterans and $17 for non-veterans.

Home Delivered Holiday Meals
The Geauga County Department on Aging will offer a free traditional meal to any Geauga County seniors, age 60 and older, who will be home and alone on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, and/or Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
There will be no regular Home Delivered Meal delivery or congregate meals on Nov. 22 or Dec. 25. Instead, holiday meals are available by preorder only.
Thanksgiving Meal requests for Thanksgiving are due by Nov. 12 and for Christmas by Dec. 17.

Medicare Drug Coverage Options
Ohio Department of Insurance trained Geauga County Department on Aging staff and volunteers will offer one-on-one reviews at Geauga senior centers. Compare the 2019 Medicare Part D and Advantage plans.
Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, Dec. 5.
Call 440-279-2130, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to schedule an appointment. Bring a current list of medicines to the appointment.
