  • Geauga Parks: Nov. 28, 11-11:45 a.m. A Geauga Parks naturalist will present “Down on the Farm.” Call to register.
  • Healthy Holiday Eating: Nov. 30, 11 a.m. to noon. The Heinen’s Wellness Program will include a discussion centering around treats, main dishes, substitutions for those with allergies and ways to relax and enjoy the season.
  • Historical Cleveland Series: Nov. 30, 12:30-1:30 p.m. An educator from Western Reserve Historical Society will present “The Golden Age of Shopping in Downtown Cleveland.” Cost is $5 per senior.

Medicare Drug Coverage Options

Ohio Department of Insurance trained Geauga County Department on Aging staff and volunteers will offer one-on-one reviews at Geauga senior centers. Compare the 2019 Medicare Part D and Advantage plans.

Appointments are available Monday through Thursday, Dec. 5.

Call 440-279-2130, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., to schedule an appointment. Bring a current list of medicines to the appointment.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP

Dec. 4, 1 p.m.

Bainbridge/Chagrin AARP Chapter 4527 will host its holiday party at Mangia! Mangia! restaurant, 11081 Kinsman Road, Newbury Township. Call Betty Scholz at 440-338-8321 for reservations.

If the Kenston School system is closed because of the weather, AARP will also be cancelled. Check local television stations for school closings.

The next meeting will be on Jan. 8, 2019. The program will feature motivational speaker Tom Strong on falling.

Perishables for the local Food For Friends food pantry, and for the Geauga Dog Shelter will be collected. Monetary donations are also appreciated.
