The first meeting of the year for Geauga Beef and Swine was held on Nov. 4 at the Geauga County Fairgrounds and called to order by the club’s president, Janine Hartory.

The first meeting of the year for Geauga Beef and Swine was held on Nov. 4 at the Geauga County Fairgrounds and called to order by the club’s president, Janine Hartory. Austin Wetzel led the pledges. The group congratulated all the members that received awards at Geauga County Fair and at the Geauga County 4-H Member and Volunteer Recognition Ceremony.

Elections were held for new officers. They are: Trevor Christian, president; Meghan Martin, vice president; Tatumn Poff, secretary; Taylor Poff, treasurer; and Emily Christian and Austin Wetzel, club reporters. New committees for 2019 were also assigned.

Members then discussed indoor and outdoor safety of lighting. The meeting ended with refreshments. (Submitted by Austin Wetzel, news reporter)
