Sketchbook Club

Jan. 11, 10 a.m.

Elmer’s Birthday Party

Jan. 12, 11 a.m.

Kids in grades K-3 will celebrate Elmer the Patchwork Elephant’s 30th birthday party with stories and crafts.

Steelpan Science

Jan. 14, 4:30 p.m.

Students in grades K–5 will learn the science of acoustics and how playing the steel pan is a lesson in resourcefulness.

Ramen Noodle Challenge

Jan. 16, 4 p.m.

Teens in grades 6-12 may show how to make delicious and nutritious meals and desserts from a pack of Ramen noodles. The library will provide the food; teens will make the inspired dishes.

Crochet Basics

Jan. 16, 7 p.m. or Jan. 17, 2 p.m.

Learn to crochet or brush up on skills in this introductory class. Hook and yarn provided. Materials fee is $5.

Budget in Excel

Learn the basics of Microsoft Excel and how to use Excel to record one’s budget. 

Office Hours with State Rep. Patterson

Jan. 14, 1-2:30 p.m.

Meet with state Rep. John Patterson to learn about and discuss state legislative issues, while also raising any questions or concerns. Registration not required.

Teen Coloring Club

Jan. 14 and 28, 3:30 p.m.

The library will provide the coloring supplies and snacks for teens in grades 6-12. Registration not required.

Cats versus Dogs

Jan. 17, 4 p.m.

Kids in grades 3-5 may join Team Dog or Team Cat in trivia and other challenges. Create a craft of a furry pal to take home.

Reiki Share

Reiki is an Eastern holistic health technique that reduces stress and anxiety while promoting healing. Reiki share allows practitioners to improve their skills and is facilitated by a reiki master teacher.

Estate Planning Basics for Everyone

Learn about five key estate planning documents, the people one needs to identify and steps to take to establish an estate plan. Presented by Wells Fargo Advisors and The Wheelock Law Firm. Refreshments will be served.

Bullet Journaling Workshop

Jan. 16, 2 p.m.

Learn how to organize one’s life using the bullet journal method. Part planner/part diary, the method can be used for everything from tracking to-do lists to doubling as a sketchbook.

Wine, Women and Wheels

Held off site at Highway Garage and Auto Body, 8410 East Washington St. in Bainbridge Township.Experts will explain what one needs to know about cars, including how to maintain tires, proper maintenance schedule, navigating insurance after a collision and how to handle a breakdown on the road.

Crazy 8s Math Club

Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. 

Every week, kids in grades K-2 will build stuff, run and jump, make music and make a mess all while having fun with the principles of math. Sponsored by Bedtime Math, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help kids love numbers so they can handle math in real life.

Preschool Tinkerlab

Youth ages 2-5 with a parent/caregiver will enjoy playful programs that encourage tinkering, curiosity and creativity.
