Summer Wellness Series
June 3, 5-6:30 p.m.
University Hospitals and the Geauga County Department on Aging will present “All Things Sun” at the University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center Conference Center, lower level, 13207 Ravenna Road, Chardon.
A UH Geauga physician will discuss dehydration, electrolyte abnormalities, heat stroke, heat exhaustion, sunburn and skin cancer risk factors.
The program is free, but registration is required by calling 440-214-3180. Space is limited.
Huntsburg Senior Trash Pickup
June 4 and 5
Huntsburg Township Trustees are joining the Geauga County Department on Aging to offer senior trash pickup days to township seniors ages 60 and older.
Seniors who wish to receive trash pickup assistance must first register with the department on aging and complete the trash pickup intake by May 28 or earlier.
Road crew and department on aging staff cannot enter homes. Items must be placed outside by the garage or driveway on June 3, the evening before the pickup. Do not leave items curbside.
There is a limit of 10 items per household.
