Burton Library’s 2019 Get Fit Initiative for babies, kids, teens and adult is a multi-month program that offers ways to help participants stay present and mindful, active and healthy and cultivate their creative side. Sign up to win prizes. See website for more information.

Step Challenge

The library is decorated with footprints to guide one’s step count during the winter. Sign up to win prizes. All ages are welcome.Registration required.

Baby Bootcamp

March 11, 18 and 25, 9:15-10 a.m.

Caregivers with babies 2 to 24 months will get fit with fun cardio combinations and body weight exercise. Bring a baby carrier and/or stroller. Registration required.

Kid Fit

March 12 and 19, 3:30 p.m. 

Kids 5 and older will move and stay fit with fun workout challenges and game. Registration required.

Worry-Free Wednesdays

Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m.

Part of the Mind Body You initiative for teens and adults, registration is required for the following programs: March 13– Stress Balls; March 20 – Calming Sensory Bottles; and March 27 – Shower Melts.

Barnyard Goes to School

March 9, 10:30 a.m.

Meet a sheep and two other farm animals. Learn how farmers care for their animals and how wool is turned into yarn. All ages welcome. Presented by Lake Metroparks.

BYOC – Bring Your Own Craft

March 14, 6-7:30 p.m.

Make the second Thursday of every month craft night. Bring what one has been meaning to work on and join others at the tables in the Merritt Room.

Savvy Shopper Class

March 19, 6:30 p.m.

Joe Daugirdas “The Coupon Guy” will share his shopping expertise and secrets for saving money. Find new ways to save money on restaurants, utilities, phones and more.

Human Trafficking: Modern-Day Slavery

March 20, 6:30 p.m.

Learn about victims and traffickers, methods used to lure individuals into this criminal activity, current federal and state legislation regarding human trafficking and the ways they already encounter human trafficking in their lives and work. Presented by Collaborative to End Human Trafficking, they will explore a variety of ways to recognize the crime and possible actions that they can take to address it.
