When summer is hottest, it’s time for two great arts festivals in Chardon: Geauga Park District’s 28th annual Nature Arts Festival at Big Creek Park and the Chardon Square Association’s 39th annual Chardon Arts Festival on historic Chardon Square.

Great Day For Arts In Chardon

Aug. 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

When summer is hottest, it’s time for two great arts festivals in Chardon: Geauga Park District’s 28th annual Nature Arts Festival at Big Creek Park and the Chardon Square Association’s 39th annual Chardon Arts Festival on historic Chardon Square.

The events are connected by a free 5-minute Lolly the Trolley ride. Admission and parking are free at both.

On Chardon Square, the Chardon Arts Festival returns with more than 100 juried artists. Learn more about the Chardon Square festival at www.chardonsquareassociation.org.

In Big Creek Park, 25 regional artists will be displaying after being juried for wildlife/Nature-inspired artwork, making for a truly unique indoor/outdoor event.

Arts In Nature

Aug. 7, 6-8 p.m. 

The West Woods Nature Center will be home to the Geauga Arts Council Juried Art Show this summer for the fifth year. It opens with a Meet the Artists event with refreshments on Wednesday. The show will remain on display daily, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., through Oct. 7.
