What’s The Buzz?
Feb. 13 – April 26, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Ignite one’s sense of wonder at the park district’s community insect and arachnid-themed exhibition, which will be open daily for public visitation at The West Woods Nature Center.
Visitors can cast ballots for People’s Choice Awards through April 15 in several categories. Those who vote will also be entered into a raffle to win one of several insect houses donated by Nature’s Way Bird Products.
Shop at the Buzz Boutique featuring jewelry and small art pieces created by the show artists and sold for less than $40 each. Many displayed pieces will also be available for sale.
Count The Birds
Become an official citizen scientist by participating in the Great Backyard Bird Count, a worldwide count coordinated by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the National Audubon Society. For more information, visit gbbc.birdcount.org.
Geauga Park District’s counting will be conducted at The West Woods Nature Center on Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during 45-minute time slots beginning at 1 p.m.; and Feb. 13 and 14, during hour-long time slots beginning at 11 a.m.
Registration is required and participants may only register for one session.
