Rock on! ‘60s

June 15, 7-8 p.m. • Middlefield

Join guitarist and vocalist Giles Ponticello and travel back to the 1960s as he plays a selection of tunes popular during the era, such as hits from The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel and many more.

Early Architecture of Geauga County

June 15, 7-9 p.m. • Chardon

Learn how to identify the correct architectural types of the county’s buildings and get an introduction to researching a family’s historic property.

Photography in the Victorian Era

June 16, 2-3 p.m. • Virtual

Explore the history of photography in the United States and its rapid evolution during the Civil War and the Victorian era over Zoom.

Culture/Counterculture: Fashions

June 17, 2-3 p.m. • Middlefield

Embark on a journey back to the 1960s and 1970s with Kent State professor and museum curator Sara Hume to learn about the divisive forms of fashion worn by the “culture” and the “counterculture” and the meanings behind their dress.

June 19, 7-8 p.m. • Bainbridge

Join Dr. Sylvia Mustonen and look back at her life as a black woman in medicine, where she frequently faced sexism and racism while providing care in family medicine across five different states.
