shoppers a wide array of bargains on new and gently used clothing, household items and more.
Community sale days are Oct. 16, 3-8 p.m. and Oct. 18 and 19, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Clothing bag days are Saturday and Sunday. Last chance bag day is Oct. 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free Fresh Produce

Newbury Community Church hosts a fresh produce giveaway at 14916 Auburn Road. Cleveland FoodBank provides the service to lower income Geauga County residents the third Saturday of each month through October. Please bring ID and bags.
Camp Ho Mita Koda Fall Fest
Oct. 18, 12-4 p.m.
Camp Ho Mita Koda invites the community to its annual Fall Fest at 14040 Auburn Road in Newbury Township.
The family-friendly event includes hayrides, archery, pumpkin launching, tomahawk throwing, face painting, balloon art, Jungle Terry and more. Food will be available for purchase.

All proceeds benefit programming for children living with Type 1 diabetes.
VFW Steak Dinner and Raffle

Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary is hosting a steak dinner and $1,000 raffle drawing at the post located at 752 Water St. The drawing is at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the canteen.
Halloween Night Out

Friends of Loss Team Geauga County will host its annual Halloween Night Out at Century Village Bond Building in Burton.
The 21-and-older event will feature a gourmet buffet, bar, DJ, trophies for best costumes, raffle baskets and more.

Audubon Explores Birding Trail
Oct. 21, 7 p.m.
Blackbrook Audubon welcomes Jamey Emmert of the Ohio Division of Wildlife for a presentation reintroducing the Lake Erie Birding Trail at Lake Metroparks’ Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland. Emmert will highlight hidden gems along the seven trail loops, discuss how the trail benefits local communities and conservation and share updates on the program’s future. Copies of the revised “Ohio Lake Erie Birding Trail Guidebook” will be available for purchase.
