Explore Geauga County’s local waterways this summer by joining the Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District’s Geauga Stream Team. Participants will investigate water quality by searching for aquatic species such as crayfish, dragonflies, water pennies and caddisflies that live in area streams.
The team will work in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Scenic Rivers Program to collect official stream data utilizing kick seine nets, sediment sticks, water chemistry test kits and more to analyze the health of area streams and rivers.
All ages are welcome. Participants may attend one outing or the full series. Geauga Stream Team programs are free and held twice monthly.
