6th-Grader Earns Award
A group of statewide organizations consisting of the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities, Buckeye Association of School Administrators, Ohio Educational Service Center Association, Ohio School Boards Association and the Ohio County Boards of Developmental Disabilities is sponsoring the “Horn Walter Outstanding Achievement in Special Education Awards.”
Burton Elementary sixth-grader Caitlin Wendl will receive the RA Horn Outstanding Achievement Award.
Caitlin is being recognized for her hard work, effort and positive attitude. She is an exemplary student and her attitude has made her successful. Caitlin will receive her award at a luncheon in Columbus on June 19.
CVC Leadership Workshop
On April 18, ten Berkshire students attended Cardinal’s annual leadership conference that invites schools from across the CVC. Berkshire students in attendance included sophomores Anna Carlson, Katelyn Luther, Melissa Koziol, Luke Byler and Christian Price; juniors Steve Sitko, Katie Paul and Erica Harris, and seniors Iain Laymon and Austin Ambrose. They were chosen for being part of after-school work sessions for homecoming setup.
