Government

Trustee meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the town hall.

All township meetings are opened to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.

Call 440-636-5486 for more information. The next trustees meeting is Sept. 2.

Roads

Trustees are aware that a large section of many township roads suffered from the severe winter this past year and there is much to be repaired. Many areas will not receive dust control this year, but they will be graded and graveled preparing for next year’s dust control application. Holes do and will continue to develop and maintenance crews will continue to patch and fill as best they can.

The township’s limited road budget is an ongoing concern and does not allow all roads to receive complete dust control coverage each year. Only a few areas will be retreated each year as funding allows.

Zoning

Zoning Inspector Frank S. Corrao III reminds all residents to obtain a zoning permit prior to making any construction changes of any kind. He may be reached at 440-636-5486 ext. 3. Leave a message; he will return your call.

Recycle

Bring all unwanted phone books, newspapers, school and office papers, magazines, paperback books and junk mail to the recycle bin at Huntsburg Recreation Park.

Huntsburg is working hard to be environmentally friendly. The recycling bin is for the whole community to use. The township even earns money for the paper it collects. This way, residents can support the town and not have to reach into their pockets.

The recycling facility accepts cardboard. Shredded paper is accepted in clear plastic bags. Please put a small hole in the bag to allow air to escape, but not the paper.

Thanks so much for recycling. Please keep the recycling center clean.
