Actively Caring for Ohio
Please join Chardon’s Actively Caring 4 People (AC4P) team for an update to the community on Nov. 4 at the Chardon Middle School LGIR from 7-8 p.m.
Hear details of Chardon’s actively caring movement, a collaboration with Chardon High School and students from of Virginia Tech. Chardon’s AC4P team is reaching out to other schools in Northeast Ohio to spread the word.

CHS Fall Play
The CHS Drama Department presents the maniacal comedy, “Arsenic and Old Lace,” Nov. 6-8 at Park Auditorium on Chardon Square. Curtain time for each performance is 7 p.m.
The play follows the merry mayhem that develops when a drama critic learns on his wedding day that his beloved maiden aunts are homicidal maniacs and that insanity runs in his family. The nephew negotiates his way around the shenanigans of the house, while trying to keep his new bride from fleeing.
Tickets are $8 for general admission. Student tickets are $5 each. Senior citizens are invited to a complimentary production on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m.
K-5 Book Fair News
Don’t miss the chance to shop the latest and greatest titles from Scholastic, including hundreds of Accelerated Reading (AR) books. Students will have the opportunity to shop the book fairs during school hours. Parents can shop the fair during parent/teacher conferences that are scheduled for Nov. 6, 11 and 19.
Parents can also shop an expanded selection at our Scholastic Online Book Fair. All items purchased at the in-school book fair or online benefit the schools. Thanks in advance for your support.
Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
The Chardon Hilltopper Takedown Club’s third annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser is set for Nov. 15 at Chardon High School from 4-8 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Chardon CMS and CHS Hilltopper wrestling programs.
The $10 meal ticket includes delicious spaghetti with marinara sauce, two meatballs, tossed salad, rolls and beverage. In addition, there will be a Chinese auction with lottery tree, gift baskets and gift cards. To purchase tickets in advance, email: corinna_connick@yahoo.com.
Math Problem Solvers
Fourth-grade math students at Maple Elementary School recently participated in the annual Problem Solving Bowling Competition. Students worked collaboratively to answer multi-step math problems and knock down corresponding “problem pins.” The first team to complete all 10 pin problems was declared the Problem Solving Champs.
Congratulations go to Maddie Downs, McKenna Robie, Madeline Chollett and Caleb Foster.
