Blue Ribbon Balloon Launch
On Oct. 30, more than 600 balloons were launched by students, faculty, staff, parents and friends for the all school Blue Ribbon Balloon Launch. The biodegradable balloons were released in celebration of Notre Dame’s National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence recognition. NDES is Blue Ribbon proud.
Up Close with Nature
Fifth-grade science students participate in the Geauga Park District’s Nature Scopes Binocular Nature Education Program. The program enhances science instruction by providing hands-on lessons that complement the Ohio Content Standards for fifth-grade science education.
Students will participate in six interactive sessions involving outdoor exploration. In May, the sessions will conclude and students will be awarded their own binoculars.
Subway Supports NDES
On Nov. 3, NDES students whose families participated as Diamond, Platinum or Gold sponsors were treated to lunch and limousine ride, which was graciously donated by the Giudice family, who owns and operates the Subway located in Chardon.
The school truly appreciates and is blessed by the generosity and support of all its families and the local business community.
