Gaming Marathon Nets $1,000

About 20 NDCL students raised $1,000 for Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital by participating in the second annual Extra Life Video Gaming Marathon in which involved students secured sponsors to pledge or donate money for each hour of gaming.

Junior Patrick Galaska, who introduced Extra Life to NDCL last year, extends special thanks to the following local businesses for their generous support of this year’s successful marathon: Mangia! Mangia!, Guy’s Pizza and Chardon Giant Eagle.

Karpos Ministry Helps Homeless

Last week, NDCL began living out its core value of justice in a new way as campus ministry launched an exciting partnership with the Karpos Ministry at Saint Mary Church in Painesville. NDCL students and staff members will prepare, serve and clean up after a meal for the hungry and homeless of the Painesville area on the second Thursday of each month.
