Meet the Author
Diane Terry, a dynamic speaker and author, visited NDES and presented fun and exciting facts that teach students how to be “curiously bored no more.” Diane has over 30 years of classroom experience and shares her love of teaching and passion for students in a brand new way.
She has authored three fun-filled children’s books: “The Bubble Gum Fairy,” “The Happy Faced Spider” and “Sweetlips.” NDES encourages each student to discover his or her potential through imagination.
Power of the Pen
The NDES seventh- and eighth-grade Power of the Pen team participated in the Hudson Regional Tournament on April 11 along with 180 students from 32 schools within the area. The team placed fourth overall.
The seventh-grade team was awarded a third place trophy. Eighth-grade Power of the Pen team members Abby Schmid, Gabriella Mulchin and Sophia Filipiak qualified for the Power of the Pen state finals, which will be held at The College of Wooster May 21 and 22.
