Taste Of Kindergarten
On Nov. 11, from 8:30-11 a.m., St. Helen School will hold a Taste of Kindergarten, an open house for children entering kindergarten in the 2016-17 school year.
Four-year-olds will spend time enjoying a “taste” of kindergarten while parents will have the chance to tour the school and see it in full operation.

St. Helen Unicyclists
The St. Helen’s unicycle team is finishing up its parade season this year with one more performance at the Akron Christmas Paradeto be held Nov. 28 after Thanksgiving. To celebrate in the Christmas parade, the unicyclists will dress in whimsical Christmas costumes and hopefully take home a first place trophy as they did last year.
Throughout this parade season, the unicyclists have received first place trophies for parades at Akron’s Little League, Brimfield’s Brimfest, Chagrin Falls’ Blossomtime, Geneva’s Grape Jamboree, Mantua’s Potato Festival and Cleveland’s St. Patrick’s Day parade. They also received a second place trophy in the Geneva Grape Jamboree’s Saturday parade.
St. Helen unicyclist coach Steve Kekedy said, “We like to call ourselves ‘One wheely UNIque team’ who do it for the honor and Glory of God. We’ll be practicing all year long for our next parade season, which starts with the Chardon Maple Festival.”
