Mock Interviews
Students at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School are getting a jump-start on the professional world. Last week, local human resources professionals conducted mock interviews with students in the Business in the 21st Century class, taught by Mrs. Nancy Vondrak. The purpose of the exercise was meant to help students prepare to interview for a job they may hold one day.
Homecoming Festivities
It was Easter, Fourth of July, Halloween and Christmas all rolled into one week of fun and school spirit as NDCL celebrated Homecoming for the Holidays.
On Oct. 23, the week culminated in a day of community fun. More than 80 students in grades 6-8 arrived on campus for NDCL’s second annual Little Siblings Day. Younger brothers and sisters spent the day attending classes, enjoying time with one another and joining in the festivities at the homecoming pep rally, where they cheered on their older sibs as they put on a display of school spirit.
Among the activities, students competed by grade level and in a Christmas trivia contest tied into the theme of this year’s homecoming, Homecoming for the Holidays. Using iPads to quickly answer trivia questions, the winning team earned its respective class a dress down for Monday. Stunning the student body, the freshman class was victorious.
On Friday evening, the Lions took on Akron Hoban at Lions Stadium at 7 p.m., and on Saturday evening, students attended the annual homecoming dance in NDCL’s McGarry gym.
