Destination Imagination

Three NDES Destination Imagination teams took first place at the annual Destination Imagination competition held on March 12 at Hiram College. The three teams will advance to compete at the state level at Mt. Vernon middle and high schools on April 16. The competition consisted of several different areas of focus: technical, scientific, fine arts, improvisational and structural learning. Over a course of several months, students were given a challenge and had to use their critical thinking, problem solving and team work to create and develop a solution to a problem and present it at the annual competition.

Fundraisers Benefit Students

On Feb. 20, NDES family and friends celebrated La Dolce Vita at Noah’s Event Venue in support of our most valued treasure, the children of NDES. The evening was a huge success and featured a live and silent auction including beautiful art projects created by the children of NDES. Also auctioned were the highly coveted school spirit items such as Lunch and Limo and Principal for the Day.

Led by chairs Jamie Miller and Emily Paulitch, many volunteers offered their time and talent to organize a fantastic evening. The school is so grateful to its donors. All proceeds from the benefit and other fundraisers help support the NDES technology program and enrichment activities.
