May Crowning Celebration

On May 6, NDES celebrated May Crowning, a special prayer service honoring the Virgin Mary led by the first-grade students. Following the May Crowning, NDES held a special volunteer breakfast honoring all the wonderful parent volunteers.

Full “STEAM” Ahead

NDES sixth-grade students move full “STEAM” ahead integrating art and math as they create mobiles inspired by the artist Alexander Calder and apply Archimedes’ Law of Levers. Students experience how science, technology, engineering, art and math collide. Art adds a creative element to the logic based STEM program, allowing innovation to blossom.

BinoBlitz Field Day

NDES fifth-grade science students concluded the Geauga Park District’s Nature Scopes Binocular Education Program with a field day at the Rookery experiencing BinoBlitz. As a culminating activity to this multipart education program, students applied their binocular knowledge to observe forest, pond and wetland habitats.
