Convocation Day
Dan Moulthrop, CEO of the City Club of Cleveland, spoke to West Geauga staff during its annual Convocation Day on Aug. 19. Moulthrop, a former English teacher, delivered some motivating words comparing education to a “conspiracy of love,” a story he referenced from New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.
In his speech, he talked of teachers as a source of saving democracy and noted that teachers instill a sense of citizenship and community in students. He is also known for his work as the former host of the Sound of Ideas on WCPN 90.3.
