WGEA Honors Kiwanian

The West Geauga Education Association recently honored Rich Levine with its 2016 Friend of Education Award.

Every year, the association honors a local resident whose volunteer efforts enhance those of the West Geauga School District. This year, Levine was honored for the work that he and the Kiwanis Club of West Geauga do to promote and host the annual high school and middle school science and math fair.

The award was presented by WGHS Science Department Chairperson Kristin Gregory, who noted, “From humble beginnings with just a few student participants, the Kiwanis Science Technology Engineering and Math Fair has grown to an event that includes 250-plus students from West Geauga High School, West Geauga Middle School and even some home-schooled students.”

The West G teachers and board of education thank Mr. Levine and the Kiwanis for their support of the schools.
