Student-Athletes of the Month
West Geauga High School Student-Athletes of the Month for October are sophomore Olivia Conley and senior Joe Daddario. Hillcrest Insurance Group sponsors the program each month.
Olivia is a sophomore student-athlete on the girls’ cross country team. In her relatively short athletic career, she has already helped lead the team to a CVC League championship title, earning 1st Team All CVC honors. She also found her way down to the OHSAA state cross country meet where she ended up placing 30th. Outside her athletic accomplishments, she is maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.8, while taking nearly all her courses at Lakeland Community College. She intends to enlist in the Navy, where she plans to pursue a career in business.
Joe is a senior athlete on the boys football team. He has earned his second varsity letter for the team. He has also earned first team All-CVC honors in both his junior and senior years. Joe has surpassed Abdul Levey’s All-Time Rushing Record and is now West Geauga’s record holder. Outside his athletic accomplishments, he has earned a 3.8 GPA in the first quarter of this school year. He is also a freshman mentor. He intends on attending Kent State University to study exercise science.
