Community Input Needed on FAC
The Chardon Local School District is currently organizing a Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) to begin the work needed to update and implement the district’s facilities master plan. Community input remains a vital component of our facilities process so we hope you will consider participating.
Moving forward, the primary work of the FAC will include: Learning about the district facilities history and future needs; engaging the community on their interests and concerns; analyzing the master plan documents provided by a recent assessment by the Ohio School Construction Commission (OFCC) as well as architectural reports; Reviewing feedback from district staff; generating recommendations to BOE regarding the development of the facilities master plan; sharing the draft facilities master plan options with community members; and providing a final recommendation to the Board of Education for consideration
Those interested in volunteering to serve on the committee can sign up by going to the district’s homepage at www.chardonschools.org or by calling the school board office at 440-285-4052.
The committee’s first meeting will be held Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chardon Middle School library. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
