2013 Immunization Clinics
The Geauga County General Health District offers childrens and adolescent immunization clinics. The Health District has always provided immunizations free of charge, but federal changes are coming. For now, it is still able to provide immunizations for children through the age of 18.

Bloodmobile
American Red Cross blood donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors may give every 56 days and must bring some form of photo identification and a list of all current medications.

Blood Pressure Screening
Lake Health will offer free blood pressure checks at the Chardon Campus, 510 Fifth Ave., from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday; and at the Middlefield Clinic located inside Wal-Mart Supercenter, 15050 Springdale Ave., from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m., Sunday.
Family Health & Safety Day
The fifth annual Family Health & Safety Day will be held at University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center, 13207 Ravenna Road in Chardon, on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free event promotes healthy living by providing wellness screenings and education in collaboration with the hospitals many community partners.
Wellness screenings include: sports physicals, vascular/stroke risk, dental, skin cancer, pain, orthopaedic, hearing, memory, depression, foot assessments and sleep. The event also features safety and wellness education stations and demonstrations.

Geauga WIC Program
The Geauga WIC Program is a nutrition education program for pregnant women and women who just had a baby, breastfeeding moms, infants and children up to age 5 years. WIC provides nutritious foods, breastfeeding support and low cost infant car seats to those who are income eligible.

Bras For a Cause
The second annual University Hospitals (UH) Geauga Medical Center Tea Luncheon featuring Bras For a Cause will be held at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St. in Chardon on June 29 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cancer awareness and fundraising event is presented by the UH Geauga Medical Center Auxiliary.
The bras are currently on display at UH Geauga and at the luncheon June 29, where votes can be bought. Entries will be voted on during that time. Voting tickets can be purchased for $1 each or six for $5. The bras that raise the most money will be announced at the luncheon
