Geauga Beef and Swine 4-H Club had its March business meeting at the Burton Fairgrounds School Building. Committee reports were given and the group talked about Generation RX for its health and safety topic. Members who were scheduled to give reports read their reports with topics covering nutrition, marketing one’s project, the pig digestive system and getting ready for shows.

For new business, members discussed creating club first aid kits and the club’s upcoming fundraiser selling candy bars. There were several educational activities for beef, swine and poultry projects. These covered feeds, parts of the animals, dealing with cattle washing and bringing home one’s poultry project.

The next meeting is April 28 at 4 p.m. at the School Building on Burton Fairgrounds. (Submitted by Emily Christian, news reporter)
