On July 12, the Geauga Dairymen 4-H Club had an in-person meeting at the Hastings Dairy Farm at 11 a.m. The meeting started with the Pledge of Allegiance, followed with the 4-H Pledge.

Last meetings minutes were reviewed and approved. Nick reviewed the treasurer’s report.

Old business discussed was that project judging will be online and done by age. There is no pass/fail. Project judging and books are due by July 26.

New business discussed included no sew blankets are due by the next meeting. For online registration for fair, members will need to create a new account, register by Aug. 12 and register for open show and showmanship. Members can buy passes on barn setup day for admission. Dairy basket theme is “From Herd to Home.” One donation per family is requested.

Club shirt designs reviewed and planned to order. For buyer letters, the club decided to use the same cards used last year. Members reviewed and talked about ideas on how fair will run with Covid restrictions. Parent task sheet was passed around to sign up.

Demonstrations were Benny with his hamster and Charlotte with her Lego set. Recreation was done by Mike; the group played charades.

The next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 2 at 11 a.m. at Hastings Dairy Farm. (Submitted by Gabriella Chenoweth, news reporter)
