Geauga Dairymen 4-H Club had a meeting on May 23 at Hastings Dairy. Danny gave a health report on ways to prevent bug bites during summer. Paul gave a safety report on road safety while walking or riding a bike. Louie also gave a safety report on safe gasoline storage.
Members discussed project judging, which will be online this year from July 1-17. Members also voted to buy club T-shirts. Members are to bring suggestions for their design to the next meeting.
Members also discussed getting ready for project animals to arrive. They should get supplies out and stock up on all things they need.
For education, advisors helped members learn topics for project judging and worked through skillathon kit topics. Jimmy did a demonstration on his favorite laser tag game. For recreation, the club made tie blankets to donate to Geauga County veterans. (Submitted by Mark R., vice president)
