Breeders ‘n’ Feeders
The Breeders ‘n’ Feeders 4-H Club held a meeting on Feb. 20 at Munson Town Hall. Beef members met at 1 p.m. and participated in an activity to get to know each other. They were assigned topics to make an informational poster due in two meetings. They also went over pages in their project books that will need to be completed by the next meeting.
Afterwards, all pig members met to discuss important upcoming dates, changes in fair rules and project book pages that will need to be completed by the next meeting. They also talked about the assignment to make an informational poster due in two meetings.
The club held its business meeting around 2 p.m. Members went over online enrollment details, upcoming events, club activities and fundraisers. The fundraisers took place at Sirna’s Farm Fresh Kitchen in Chagrin Falls, where three pancake breakfasts were held. Club members cooked, served and cleaned at the fundraisers. The first one was for the Farm Bureau and the other two were for the Geauga Maple Tour.
After the business meeting, poultry members talked about different poultry clinics to choose from. Then, they did some icebreakers to get to know each other and turned in their bird order forms.
