Giggles ‘n Stitches

The Giggles ‘n Stitches 4-H Club has been highly active in community service this year. Members participated in several service projects and activities including Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Bainbridge Food Pantry Drive, making veteran blankets and the Family Fair. The club also signed up to attend the Auburn Township roadside litter pickup day, but it got rained out.

The service projects are amazing for the community and build character in the club members. A club favorite is veteran blanket making. The activity includes having members chip in on all kinds of fleece fabric to create no sew tie blankets out of two pieces of fleece. The blankets are created by three to four club members each and are all donated to veterans in need, veteran organizations, shelters or assisted living homes. The service project brings much joy to the community and builds on acts of kindness within the 4-H club.

The other service projects include donations, cleanup, volunteer work and much more. The Giggles ‘n Stitches 4-H club is a community service machine. The work done by the club is appreciated and applauded, and the club will hopefully return for more community service next year.
