John Burroughs, from Parma and the northeast Ohio poetry scene, will be reading his poems at Words and Wine, a monthly poetry reading series now held at its new location, Bistro 70 at 70 N. Saint Clair St. in Painesville.

Burton Public Library is looking for entries for the 2016 Burton Art Show. Artists 16 years and older who live, work or attend school in Geauga or Lake counties are invited to submit their work at the library located at 14588 W. Park St. in Burton.
A nonrefundable entry fee of $10 per item, or three for $25, is due payable by cash or check on entry night. Artists may submit up to three works.
