Bring extra houseplants or cuttings to swap and share, and trade with other green-thumbed Geaugans to find something new to add to a collection. Registration is not required.

Hook, Line, Stitcher

Legal Aid Clinic

June 3, 4-5 p.m. • Chardon

Connect with The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, an organization that provides free legal services to clients with low incomes, for a brief advice-and-counsel meeting. The hosting attorney will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and can provide advice for navigating civil legal problems relating to money, housing, family, employment and more. Registration is not required.

Celebrate 250

June 4, 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Middlefield

Connect with the Geauga Park District as the library continues its celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. Learn what Ohio and Geauga County were like when settlers first arrived, explore the conditions they faced and discover the wildlife that inhabited the local ecosystems.

Small business owners, photographers and artists looking to grow a digital presence and share work online are invited to learn the basics of building a website, including tips for organizing and showcasing content, creating simple navigation and more.

Pioneer Days

Step back in time and experience life as a young pioneer on the Oregon Trail. Discover what daily life was like for kids traveling west in covered wagons by playing the role of a pioneer through interactive activity stations. This is a family program.
