History Comes Alive
Now through March 22, Anne Frank’s attic has been reproduced on the Geauga Lyric Theater’s stage. In this production of “The Diary of Anne Frank,” director Angela Miloro-Hansen and her scenic designer husband Randy Hansen have been hard at work replicating as many aspects of the attic apartment as they were able.
Angela has been using a large documentary book received in her teens as reference to check on wallpaper, book titles and color palettes to make audience members feel as if they are in the actual space with Anne and her family.
Performances are Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at Geauga Theater, located at 101 Water St. on Chardon Square. Tickets are $8 for children 12 and under, $13 for students and seniors, and $15 for adults.
A special performance at a reduced price for students will be held March 12 at 7:30 p.m. For more information on how to participate, contact educationoutreach@geaugatheater.org.
