GANG Hosts Poet/Painter

May 19, 6:30-8 p.m.

The Geauga Arts Network Group (GANG) program will feature poet/ painter Joanne Speidel of Newbury. The educational program, which is free and open to the general public, will take place at Heinen’s Cafe, 402 Center St. in Chardon.

Poet and Geauga County resident Grace Butcher will host the evening. No reservations are necessary.

The topic of Speidel’s program will be the intriguing connections between her two art forms. Many of her paintings have been inspired by her poems.

Some of her artwork can currently be seen at the Chardon Senior Center, where she is being honored as Artist of the Month.

The Geauga Arts Network Group is an ad hoc group whose mission is to promote communication, collaboration, and cooperation across artistic disciplines for artists living and/or working in Geauga County. For more information, call Joanne Durante at 440-729-6481.
