Stop! Shop! Or Swap!

The Geauga Council for Arts & Culture is sponsoring the Stop! Shop! Or Swap! opportunity in conjunction with the heART of Geauga Arts Jam on Chardon Square. Paintings, prints, sculpture, handmade jewelry, fiber art and frames will all be accepted.

Stop by the booth. One can purchase a piece of art outright; all pieces are reasonably priced. Or, one can swap art. Participants may bring in up to six pieces of art and receive a credit towards the purchase of one or more of pieces.

All funds generated from the art recycling program help support the arts in Geauga County.

Arts Are Full Speed Ahead at GLTG and Chardon

June 27, 12-7:30 p.m.

The third year of the heART of Geauga Arts Jam on Chardon Square, the gazebo and local restaurants will be filled with musical acts ranging from rock to country blues, gospel and ragtime. Arts activities will be scattered throughout including sing-alongs, Instagram art, tech art, zentangle, photography, theater games, dance, watercolors, hula hoop contest, music, poetry, book talks and much more.

Arts Jam continues into the evening hours with a special performance at the historic Geauga Lyric Theater of “Around the World in 80 Days” at 7:30 p.m.

Produced by the Geauga Lyric Theater Guild and directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, the show features a cast of all ages and will incorporate cameo performances by local community members, including Chardon City Council member Nancy McArthur, Burton Township Trustee Jim Dvorak, business owner Laura Christian of Sports Rack, human services professional Natalie Dolezal and reporter Rose Nemunaitis of Geauga Maple Leaf in this steampunk stage version of the classic Jules Verne story.
