Season of Laughter Begins with ’39 Steps’
Geauga Lyric Theater’s 61st season opens with “The 39 Steps” on Sept. 11.
Director Art Suskin loves this play, commenting, “The surprising interplay of an exciting spy story with some of the silliest and funniest scenes they will ever see. Four actors playing 120-plus roles at breakneck speed. What a delight.”
The show runs through Sept. 27, Fridays through Sundays.

Call for Art Show Entries
Burton Public Library is looking for entries for the 2014 Burton Art Show to be held Oct. 6-11 at the Burton Public Library. Judges are Tracey Knierim in photography and Margaret Khairallah in all other media.
Artists 16 years and older that live, work or attend school in Geauga or Lake counties are invited to submit their work on Sept. 28 from 5-7:45 p.m. at the library located at 14588 W. Park St. in Burton. Fee is $10 per item entered for a maximum of three items per artist.
Entry forms are available at all public libraries in Geauga and Lake counties and also online at www.burtonlibrary.org.
