Virtual Art Show

The Burton Public Library Virtual Art Show will include a people’s choice award and prizes in both child and adult categories. Submissions will be accepted through Oct. 10. The show, as well as voting for people’s choice awards, will take place virtually Oct.16-30. Visit the library’s website for guidelines about submitting.

Fall Virtual Storytimes

Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.

Begins Oct. 5

Join Mr. Jesse and Ms. Christina via Facebook Live for books, rhymes, songs, puppets and fun.

Take and Create Kits

October through April
Each kit will provide an educational activity, materials and instructions. Mr. Jesse and Ms. Christina will also create a fun, step-by-step video for each kit, which will premiere on the library’s YouTube channel each month. Stop by the library to pick up a kit or use curbside service. Registration is required.

Banjo Basics with Mr. Jesse

Oct. 14 and 21, 6:30 p.m.
Mr. Jesse, a banjo player for seven years, will highlight via Zoom the claw-hammer technique and basic finger-picking and share how he learned the banjo. No banjo is required. Registration is required for the two-part class for adults.
