Free Gardening Advice

Thursdays in March, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Receive free gardening advice from Master Gardeners every Thursday in March in the Merritt Room. Registration is not required.

Kids Quest K-2

March 5, 4-5 p.m. 

Kids in grades K-2 will adopt their own pet rock and share stories and songs together during “Pet Rock Adoption Agency.”

Teen D&D One Shot

March 9, 3:45-5 p.m. 

Teens in grades 8-12 will experience a fun D&D one-shot adventure during “Masquerade Jewel Heist.”

I Wish I Knew How

March 9, 5-7 p.m.

Learn how to make the trendy Kandi bead bracelets; materials provided. Registration is not required.

Drawing 101

March 11, 18 and 25, 3:30-5 p.m. 

Participants ages 7 and older must attend all three sessions to complete the projects. Beginner-level drawing lessons will be offered.

South Newbury Union Chapel

March 12, 6-7 p.m.

Learn about the history of Geauga County’s South Newbury Union Chapel during a presentation titled “A Bold Past, A Bright Future,” hosted by the South Newbury Union Chapel.

Kids Quest 3-8

March 19, 4-4:30 p.m. or 5-5:30 p.m.

Youth in grades 3-8 will solve tricky Leprechaun’s magical puzzles to find their own pot of gold in “Escape Room: Leprechaun’s Lair.” Sign up for a time slot.

Vote for Your Movie Night

March 24, 5-7:45 p.m.

In celebration of the USA’s 250th anniversary and movies connected to Ohio, attendees may vote to select a PG or G-rated film for the event. The program will also highlight movies filmed in or about Ohio. Popcorn will be provided. Registration is not required.

Plants at War

March 26, 6-7 p.m.

The presentation by Holden Arboretum will examine how plants have helped mobilize for victory, heal the sick and spread a message of peace.

At the Hot Gates

March 27, 3-4 p.m.

For almost fifty years the Greeks and Persians clashed against one another on land and sea. Trace back the steps that led the Greeks to stand at the Hot Gates against almost 300,000 Persians during the Greco-Persian Wars.

Ohio’s National Parks

March 28, 11-11:45 a.m. 

Park rangers from James A. Garfield National Historic Site will be sharing information about Ohio’s national parks. All fourth-graders will receive the free Every Kid Outdoors pass, which allows free entry into national parks for them and their families through the summer.

Peeps Taste Test and Crafts

March 30, 5-6 p.m.
Help crown the best tasting Peeps with a taste test and complete a fun spring craft.
