GCRTA Awards Teacher Grants
The Geauga County Retired Teachers Association has awarded its 2018-19 teacher grants in amounts of $250 each to public school teachers in Geauga County.

The Geauga County Retired Teachers Association has awarded its 2018-19 teacher grants in amounts of $250 each to public school teachers in Geauga County. Grants are intended to be used to support, in part or in whole, an innovative educational project that would otherwise not be possible because of a lack of school funds.
Additional financial sponsors of the grants are East Geauga Kiwanis, Huntsburg Grange and royalties from book sales of Dave Hancock’s “The Diary – Letters of a Mad Public School Teacher.”
The recipients are:
Berkshire – Harry Hoover, high school math; Meghan Hull, high school technology and integration 7-12; and Jim Lester, math.
Cardinal – Gregg Sadler, reading.
Chardon – Daniel Dinko and Sharon Zdesar, Chardon Academy;
Sarah Cudo, kindergarten; Kelly Moran and Alexandra Wells, third grade; Candace Remington, first grade; Brenda Sobodosh, second grade, and Beth Stickley, elementary art.
Kenston – Kristine Edwards, first grade.
Newbury – Alissa Bodner, elementary music.
