Scat, Tracks and Other Mammal Facts

Youth in grades K-3 will discover the diversity of mammals that call Geauga County home. Program will be presented by a Geauga Park District staff.

Beekeeper Trish will offer a class about how to manage a colony after its first year.

Teen Poetry Reading

Feb. 1, 4 – 4:30 p.m.

Discover poetry from poets throughout history, share poetry and check out poetry books from the GCPL catalog.

Geauga Skywatchers Club

Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m.

During “UFOs in Geauga County,” listen as Geauga resident Glen Frohring shares his local UFO experience and shares information about other documented sightings. Open for questions and discussion, bring stories to share.

Feb. 4, 7 p.m.

Join for a discussion of “A Welcome Murder” by Robin Yocum.

Film Discussion

Feb. 4, 2 p.m.

Join for a discussion of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.” Place a hold online or call a local branch for assistance.
Take and Make: Love Those Birds
In the take and make kit, receive two wooden bird cut outs to decorate, as well as birdseed and a recipe to create ornaments to hang in trees at home. Register and call ahead to pick up the kit during open hours. Last day to pick up is Feb. 5, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stuff n’ Storytime

Feb. 5, 10:30 a.m.

Participants will make and design a stuffed Rascal pillow live on Zoom while also enjoying a special story. Upon registration, families will be notified via email with instructions on when to come and pick up the stuffing materials at their local branch.

Migration and Bird Watching

Feb. 6, 2:30 p.m.

Ethan Maynard will discuss the important role that migration plays in bird watching.

Feb. 8, 10 a.m.

Join for a discussion of “142 Ostriches” by April Davila.

Teen Pet Pictures

Feb. 8, 4-4:30 p.m.

Teens will share their favorite pictures or videos of their pets and look at unique animals from around the world.

Latin American Book Club

Feb. 8, 6 p.m.

Teens in grades 9-12 and adults will discuss “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho. Discussion will be held in English.
