Dorothy’s Porch Giveaway

Dorothy’s Porch, a free community giveaway of clothing for the family, toys, books, stuffed animals, household items, holiday decorations, bedding and pillows, will be held at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.
Christmas Lighting of the Square
Nov. 30
Chardon Square Association, Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Chardon are hosting the lighting of Chardon Square. Pilgrim Christian Church will serve a chili dinner from 5-7 p.m. The chamber will serve hot cider and cookies in the park throughout the evening.
The Geauga Music Center Band performs at 6:30 p.m. on the bandstand, followed by Chardon High School Free Harmony at 7 p.m. and the arrival of Santa in a horse-drawn sleigh at 7 p.m. Children will then be able to visit with Santa inside the Heritage House.

Annual Christmas Sale

Middlefield United Methodist Church will be hosting its annual Christmas sale at the church located at 14999 South State Ave., Middlefield.
There is a large assortment of new and gently used adult and children’s clothing, holiday dishes, books for all ages, DVDs, toys, stuffed animals, dishes, holiday decorations, puzzles, coats, baby items, purses, jewelry and more.
Breakfast with Santa
Dec. 2, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Geauga West Rotary Club is hosting its 31st annual Breakfast with Santa at the West Geauga High School cafeteria. The all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast is $8 per person and free for children 1 year and younger. Meet Rudolph and Santa Claus. Take photos with Santa and enjoy festive music and games. Proceeds support Rotary community projects and local activities.
Breakfast with the Clauses

Munson Township’s annual Breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus takes place at the Munson Township Hall, 12210 Auburn Road. Pancakes, sausage, juice and coffee will be served.

Mrs. Claus and Santa’s Elves Visit
Dec. 3, noon
Mrs. Claus and Santa’s elves will be in the restored 1842 Tanner House at the Chesterland Historical Village located on the corner of Caves and Mayfield roads. Admission is free.
The elves will help children write letters to Santa and Mrs. Claus will deliver them to the North Pole. Guests will enjoy storytime with the puppets, a make-and-take Christmas ornament, a singalong and hot chocolate and sugar cookies. The holiday gift shoppe will be open.

Join Geauga Skywatchers Club for “Make a Sun Projector” at the Middlefield Public Library. Make a device to safely project a magnified image of the sun in preparation for the total solar eclipse in April.

Claridon Cooke Walk

The 23rd annual cookie walk will be held at First Congregational Church of Claridon, 13942 Mayfield Road. A wide assortment of homemade cookies will be offered; boxes provided. The church is handicapped accessible. Funds raised will support the restoration of the church sanctuary after the collapse of the ceiling.
Christmas Craft Show
