Hanukkah Display

Come honor the diversity of Geauga County at the Hanukkah display illumination on Chardon Square. There will be a brief traditional blessing said to commemorate the first night of Hanukkah.
Claridon Cooke Walk
Dec. 9, 9-11 a.m.
The 23rd annual cookie walk will be held at First Congregational Church of Claridon, 13942 Mayfield Road. A wide assortment of homemade cookies will be offered at $8 per pound; boxes provided. The church is handicapped accessible. Funds raised will support the restoration of the church sanctuary after the collapse of the ceiling.
Home for the Holidays
Dec. 9, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Chardon Square Association hosts Home for the Holidays on Chardon Square. Activities include ice carving and snowman building, story time, letters to Santa, hot cocoa, live reindeer, carriage rides, Santa, letters and stocking to soldiers, caroling and more.

Christmas Craft Show

A Christmas craft show and Chinese raffle will be held at Troy Community House, 13950 Main Market Road in Burton. Santa will be available for picture taking from noon to 2 p.m. For more information, call 440-728-5841.
Operation Santa Sleigh

Officers from the Chester Township Police Department, their families and Santa will be collecting new, unwrapped toys for the 13th annual Operation Santa Sleigh at West Geauga Plaza. No toy guns, please.
All donated toys will be given to Geauga County Department of Job and Family Services to benefit local families.
Gospel Hymn Sing

Wreaths Across America

Join St. Mary Chardon’s Beacon of Light group to honor Wreaths Across America at East Claridon Cemetery, 12545 Old State Road in Claridon Township.
The national event involves laying wreaths on the graves of veterans to remember and honor the country’s fallen heroes. A short opening ceremony will be followed by the laying of wreaths on more than 150 gravesites.
Parking will be available at Highwater Fish Farm, 12589 Old State Road, Claridon Township.
In addition, Joyce Page, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will lay wreaths on the graves of three Revolutionary War Patriots buried in Huntsburg Township. The community is invited to join at Huntsburg Center Cemetery at 9 a.m. and Pioneer Cemetery at 9:30 a.m.
Holiday Cabaret

The Berkshire Music Department presents its 2023 Holiday Cabaret at Berkshire High School. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Purchase tickets online at berkshireschools.org. Proceeds support the Berkshire music program.
