Dorothy’s Porch Giveaway
Feb. 15 and 16, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dorothy’s Porch, a free community giveaway of clothing for the family, bedding, pillows, household items, toys, books and more, will be held at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon.
Outreach Spaghetti Dinner
Feb. 15, 6-7 p.m.
Christ Presbyterian Church offers free drive-thru spaghetti and meatball dinners the third Thursday of each month. Salad and dessert are included. The church is located at 12419 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township.
Young of Heart
Feb. 16, 11:30 a.m.
Geauga Young of Heart will meet at St. Anselm Church in Chester Township. Bring a brown bag lunch; snacks and beverages are provided. Musical entertainment will be provided by Polka Jake from the Chardon Polka Band.
Yearly dues must be paid by the meeting to be included in the directory.
Monthly Missions Meal

Parkman Congregational Church is hosting its monthly missions meal at the church located at 18265 Madison Road. Dine in or take out.
VFW Wednesday Dinners
Wednesdays, 5-7 p.m.
Chardon VFW Post 6519 will serve a penne pasta with meat sauce dinner every Wednesday in February at the post located at 752 Water St. Dinners are open to the public.
Great Geauga Seed Swap
Feb. 17, 12-4 p.m.
Gardeners and growers may join the seed swap at Heritage Marketplace Event Center in Middlefield. Event includes keynote speaker Lee Jones, of the Chef’s Garden; six expert panels; a host of vendors and experts; and networking with hundreds of gardeners and growers.

Coalition Gathers Signatures
Feb. 19, 1-4 p.m.
Volunteers with Fair Districts Ohio will be in public spaces in front of Geauga County Public Libraries on Presidents Day, weather permitting, gathering signatures on the Citizens Not Politicians constitutional amendment petition to end gerrymandering and restore political fairness to elections.

West Geauga Chamber of Commerce is partnering with Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce for an indoor snowball fight networking event at the Heritage House in Chardon. Registration is required for the free event.

Audubon Spotlights Nature Preservation
Feb. 20, 7 p.m.
Blackbrook Audubon hosts “Tales from the Front Lines: The Conservation Work of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History” at Penitentiary Glen Reservation in Kirtland. Speaker Garrett Ormiston will discuss how the museum’s conservation effort over the last 50 years has resulted in the permanent protection of some of the most ecologically-significant areas in Northern Ohio.

Gardening 101
Feb. 24, 10 a.m. to noon
Geauga County Master Gardener Volunteers are offering a free, four-part Gardening 101 series for those interested in vegetable and fruit gardening. The classes will be held in the Patterson Center at the Geauga County Extension Office, 14269 Claridon-Troy Road, Burton.
The series opens with “Site Selection and Preparation.” Future sessions are “Seed Selection and Planting Plan” on March 23; “Working the Garden” on May 4; and “Harvesting and Preserving Your Bounty” on July 27.

Auburn Pancake Breakfast
Feb. 25, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Auburn Boy Scout Troop 101 will host its annual all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast at the Auburn Fire Station, 10950 E. Washington St., Auburn Township. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for seniors, kids 12 and under, first responders, veterans and active military.
Geauga PERI Meets
