Antique Power Exhibition

July 25-27, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Historical Engine Society’s 54th annual Antique Power Exhibition will be held at Lake Metroparks Farmpark, 8800 Euclid Chardon Road in Kirtland.

The event will feature antique tractors, construction equipment, cars, trucks and hit and miss engines, tractor pull, a parade of machinery, demonstrations, barnyard animals and more.

Rubber Stamp Sale

July 26, 9 a.m. to noon

Montville Crafters will hold their annual sale featuring 30 tables selling new and gently used rubber stamps and craft supplies at Montville Community Center, 9755 Madison Road, Montville Township. For more information, email rav4linda@gmail.com.

Care Center Open House

July 26, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Middlefield Care Center is celebrating 35 years with an open house at 14999 Lenny Ave. in Middlefield. The facility will be open for tours, giveaways and free hot dogs, popcorn, ice cream and more. All are welcome.

Veterans Resource Fair

Geauga County Veteran Service Office is hosting a Veterans Resource Fair at Guidos Generations Event Center in Chester Township.

Learn about county, state and federal resources available for veterans and their families. Refreshments will be provided.

Care Center Benefit Auction

Aug. 1, 4:30 p.m.

The annual benefit auction for the Middlefield Care Center nonprofit Amish birthing center will be held at Heritage Marketplace, 15848 Nauvoo Road, Middlefield. The event includes live and silent auctions, raffle tickets, bake sale, food stand and a quilt auction at 7 p.m. Donations are needed and appreciated.

Basket Raffle

Aug. 2, 12-4:30 p.m.

Girl Scout Troop 70602 is hosting a basket raffle at Claridon Town Hall. The drawing is at 4:30 p.m. Proceeds will support a community service project and a science museum trip.

Meet Us in the Garden

Aug. 2, 10 a.m.

The OSU Lake County Master Gardener Volunteers host its next Meet Us in the Garden talk at the Mentor Public Library, 8215 Mentor Ave.

Join for “Planning a Landscape Garden from the Ground Up” and learn how to create a nature-friendly landscape within a mostly open yard.

CSA Arts Festival

Aug. 3, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chardon Square Association is sponsoring the 44th annual Arts Festival on historic Chardon Square. The outdoor show features more than 100 juried artists. Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit www.chardonsquareassociation.org.

GCRTA Luncheon

Aug. 5, 11:15 a.m.

The Geauga County Retired Teachers Association will meet at the Brown Barn Tavern, 10700 Mayfield Road in Chardon.. Social time will be followed by the business meeting at 11:30 a.m. and a pulled pork lunch at noon.

Following the meal, classroom teachers will share how they used their education grant funds to enrich their classrooms and increase student learning.

Remember to bring paper products or canned goods for the Geauga County Hunger Task Force. Consider bringing a retired teacher, school personnel or guest to the meeting.
