Free Fresh Produce

Newbury Community Church hosts a fresh produce giveaway at 14916 Auburn Road. Cleveland FoodBank provides the service to lower income Geauga County residents the third Saturday of each month through October. Please bring ID and bags.
Junk in the Trunk and Community Picnic
Sept. 20, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sell items from one’s trunk or set up a table at Junk in the Trunkfest held in conjunction with Auburn Township’s annual community picnic at Auburn Community Park, 17484 Munn Road, Auburn Township.
The event also includes live music, food trucks, bounce house, climbing wall, hayrides and yard games.

Autumn Home School Day

The Geauga County Historical Society is hosting Autumn Home School Day: Geauga County Harvest Times on the grounds of the Century Village Museum in Burton. Designed specifically for homeschoolers and their families, the event includes guided tours, crafts and activities, live cooking demonstrations, games, music and more.

Chardon VFW Rummage Sale

The Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary will hold its annual rummage sale, bake sale and 50/50 raffle at the post located at 752 Water St. in Chardon.

GSWCD Dinner and Election

Geauga Soil and Water Conservation District celebrates its 81 years of conservation at its annual dinner and election at the Veterans Legacy Woods Tribute Lodge.
Join for dinner, conservation awards, raffle items and a presentation from Harvey Webster titled “Nature in Your Backyard.” Cast a vote for the next two board supervisors. Candidates are Tracey Engle, Mike Henry and Jeff Huntsberger.
The election is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
