Chardon VFW Rummage Sale

The Chardon VFW Post 6519 Auxiliary will hold its annual rummage sale, bake sale and 50/50 raffle at the post located at 752 Water St. in Chardon.

Pumpkin Festival

Huntsburg Township hosts its 55th annual Pumpkin Festival at the intersection of state routes 322 and 528. The festival features a car show, pumpkin run, carved and decorated pumpkin show, pumpkin pie eating contest and pumpkin queen and junior queen and tot king and queen contests.

Chester Grave Hunters will host Lanterns & Legacies, an immersive, lantern-lit cemetery tour experience featuring character portrayals, historical interpretation and twilight ambiance at Quirk Cemetery, 12703 Woodside Drive in Chester Township. Township resident and historical interpreter Diana Kresnye will lead the tours Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

GOP Golf Outing

The Geauga County Republican Party will hold its annual golf outing at Fowlers Mill Golf Course in Chester Township. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with a 9 a.m. shotgun start and steak dinner at 3 p.m. Event also includes hot dog lunch at the turn, drink tickets and games with prizes.
Golf packages are $165 per person and dinner only is $65 per person. Sponsorships are available. RSVPs are due by Sept. 30.
