Christmas Boutique & Tea

Chesterland Historical Village hosts its annual Christmas boutique and tea in the Tanner House filled with handcrafted gifts and unique holiday decorations. Tea will be served in the parlor.

Admission is free. The village is located on the corner of Caves and Mayfield roads in Chester Township.

Kindness Sewing Circle

Nov. 7, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

NPower Services hosts a Kindness Sewing Circle at Celebration Lutheran Church, 10621 Auburn Road in Chardon. The free monthly gathering is open to people of all abilities and provides a creative space for participants to craft fabric projects that benefit others in need.

Young of Heart

Nov. 7, 11:30 a.m.

Geauga Young of Heart will meet at St. Anselm Church in Chester Township. Bring a brown bag lunch; refreshments will be provided. Guest speaker Gary Hunter, executive director of U.S. Route 6 Tourist Association, will talk about traveling on Route 6.

The annual members only Christmas Party is on Dec. 5 at Manakiki Country Club in Willoughby Hills. For reservations, sign up at a meeting or call Monica Gromek at 216-659-8117.

Gift of the Magi Boutique

St. Mark Lutheran Church, 11900 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township, is hosting its annual Gift of the Magi Christmas Boutique.

The preview party is Friday from 7-9 p.m. Admission is $5, adults only. The boutique continues Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with free admission.

Join the Boutique Bounce by also stopping at St. Anselm Church in Chester Township and Old South Church in Kirtland. Cards stamped at each church will be entered in a free drawing for a chance to win one of three gift baskets.

Christmas Boutique

St. Anselm Women’s Guild’s annual Christmas Boutique will be held at St. Anselm School, 13013 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. More than 80 vendors will offer a variety of unique items. A bake sale, snack bar and prize raffle with many great prizes will also be featured. Admission is $1.

Holiday Bazaar

Old South Church, 9802 Chillicothe Road in Kirtland, is hosting its annual Holiday Bazaar. The bazaar offers a potpourri of homemade holiday gifts, a bake and candy sale as well as a huge attic treasures sale and homemade lunch.

Audubon Cruises Mosquito Lake

Nov. 8, 9 a.m.

Blackbrook Audubon invites birders of all skill levels on a field trip to see migrating waterfowl and gulls at Mosquito Creek Reservoir. Meet at the pull-off of the eastbound state Route 88 causeway over the reservoir.

The group will stop at various lookout points around the lake. Blackbrook will have a spotting scope and recommends people bring one to better identify birds at the center of the lake. RSVP at blackbrookaud@aol.com.

Chardon Rotary Harvest Auction

Nov. 8, 5:30 p.m.

Chardon Rotary’s 33rd annual Harvest Auction will be held at Guido’s Generations Event Center, 12809 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township. The event includes open bar, dinner and silent, Chinese and live auctions.

VFW Veterans Day Dinner

Chardon VFW Post 6519 will host its annual Veterans Day dinner for veterans and their families in the dining room of the canteen. Meal choice is Salisbury steak, butterflied shrimp or ham steak or smoked turkey dinner.

Family Movie Night

Nov. 8, 6:15 p.m.

The Burton American Legion is hosting a family movie night for children 12 and under at the post located at 14052 Goodwin St. in Burton. Arrive between 6:15-6:30 p.m. in pajamas and bring a blanket and stuffy. Popcorn and a drink will be provided. Movie starts at 6:45 p.m.

VFW Wednesday Dinners

CPC Crafters

Join CPC Crafters for a craft night making Thanksgiving “Grateful” signs at Christ Presbyterian Church, 12419 Chillicothe Road in Chester Township.

Night Of Gratitude

Nov. 15, 5-9 p.m.

NPower Services, a nonprofit organization that serves adults with disabilities, is hosting A Night of Gratitude benefit dinner and concert at the EOUV Club, 8636 Pekin Road in Russell Township. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Tickets are $85 and include a sit-down dinner, beer and wine and RockAbility concert. The event also includes raffle baskets, wine pull and live and silent auctions.

Happy Tails Benefit Brunch

The non-profit, no-kill Happy Tails Cat Sanctuary is hosting “Sunday Brunch with a Purr-pose” benefit at the Banquet Center at St. Noel, 35200 Chardon Road in Willoughby Hills.

Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with a brunch buffet opening at 11:30 a.m. Event includes silent and Chinese auctions and 50-50 raffle.

Missions Benefit Christmas Auction

The Missions Benefit Christmas Auction will be held at Buster Miller’s Auction Barn, 17717 Newcomb Road, Middlefield

Festivities begin at noon with food and an auction preview, bake sale and basket raffles. At 3 p.m., the grand auction starts; bid on experiences, hunts, services and more.
