Ida’s Cupboard Pantry
Pilgrim Christian Church’s food pantry, Ida’s Cupboard, provides groceries to families in need. The pantry is the second-largest in Geauga County, serving neighbors with dignity and compassion.
Hours are 10:30-11:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday and 3:30-4:30 p.m. Friday. The pantry is located at the rear entrance of the church, 202 S. Hambden St., Chardon.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road in Chardon, will host a Christmas in July Craft Show and is seeking crafters for the indoor event.

Christianity and LGBTQIA Forum
March 1, 1-4 p.m.
The intersection of Christianity and LGBTQIA issues will be explored at the Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, Bainbridge Township.
The documentary film “1946” will be shown, highlighting biblical research that questions whether the word “homosexual” was originally intended to appear in the Bible. Three Christian presenters also will share additional insight and perspectives.
The program is sponsored by Geauga SOGI Support Network, Federated Church SJAM and the Community Life Collaborative.

Beethoven’s Fifth

Snowbelt Symphony Orchestra presents “Beethoven’s Fifth,” featuring conductor Greg Hillis, at North High School in Eastlake.

Career Exploration Open House
March 3, 5-7 p.m.
Students and job seekers are invited to attend a free Career Exploration Open House at KSU Geauga, 14111 Claridon-Troy Road in Burton. The free event will connect attendees with local employers and organizations offering information on careers, summer jobs and workforce opportunities in Geauga County and Northeast Ohio. Participants may network with industry professionals, explore career paths, share resumes and learn about current hiring trends. Complimentary food and raffle prizes will be available.
Attendees are encouraged to bring resumes and may submit materials in advance to pbarker@geaugagrowth.com for priority employer review. The event is co-sponsored by Kent State Geauga and Geauga Growth Partnership.

Young of Heart

Geauga Young of Heart will meet at St. Anselm Church in Chester Township. Refreshments will be provided. Guest speaker Dennis Sutcliffe will talk about growing up in Cleveland with Captain Penny, Ghoulardi and others.

Have A Heart Spay/Neuter
Valley Save-A-Pet will open its 2026 Have A Heart low cost spay/neuter program on March 2. The program offers cat and dog sterilizations at a discounted rate to pet owners.
Call 440-232-2287 any Monday and Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for information and to apply for a spay/neuter certificate. Calls will also be answered on the first Saturday of the month beginning in April. Feral cat caregivers are also encouraged to call.
